Yes, I'm still alive.



I'll be at Anime Iowa in a couple weeks. I'll be bringing Sha Gojyo with me (and maybe the shakujou and definately a hot glue gun this time >< ) and I'll be part of a small Inuyasha group which will consist of Sango & Kikiyo, Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, and myself as Rin. I've been working on Sesshoumaru as a commission for my friend - so not a 2 month costume, but all I have is the armor to work on and it will be finished! ^^ And the fluff is 3 yards long...2 pounds of stuffing wasn't enough. o_O

Abel is getting damn close to being finished. Just need to make a few more armor bits and buy the wig, and that will be it.
Course, there's the matter of attaching it all to the costume...


Also, bought Torchwood: Children of Earth -- Oh. My God. I really hope there will be a fourth series.

Let's see, I'm currently working on interactive children's books for a publishing company in Mankato. Sadly, it's only a temp job right now so I'm not sure how long it will last, but I'm glad I have something at the moment. AND they encourage costumes for Halloween--might have to dig out Urahara....^_^

Speaking of cosplay...geez...Abel is absorbing most of my time and effort (I've got most of his accessories done!! I'll post a few here in a bit). I'm working on Gojyo's weapon now, but I think maybe when I get home from work tonight I'll start on his jacket (I got suede for the jacket..hmmm suede XD).
I've got most of the fabric for Rakka, and I'm waiting on Hikaru until my friend's Sai is finished.

And I wonder why my roommates think all I do is work on cosplay.

Also, I'll be posting some pics from the trip to Minneopa State Park soon as well. ^^
